LINKS

On this page, there is an outstanding number of links about the Eastern cars and bikes: the result of two years of navigation! Several Russian sites, unfortunately, are written in cyrillic language. But there is a method to explore these pages: when you move the mouse on a cyrillic link, this can appear on the state bar (over the Windows "Start" button) in western fonts. With a little intuition, you can find, at least, the pics and the technical schemes. 

There is also a good on-line translator, the PROMT (http://www.translate.ru/eng/srvurl.asp): you must type the URL of the page that you want translate, select the language, and press "Translate", retrying one or two times. The pages will appear totally translated. You can try also the Babelfish translator of Altavista, that features only the Russian-English option.

ATTENTION: For reasons of time, on this page there aren't several interesting links present at the end of the other pages about the several brands (Lada, GAZ, etc.), therefore i suggest to visit also them. To read a short description of the sites, please place the pointer on the symbol  near each link, for one second. Moreover, it is possible that several links are not more active: unfortunately, i have no time to verify them! :-)

Official UAZ site. It seems complete, but it's in Russian (growl!). Anyway, you can download the pics of the models.OFFICIAL UAZ SITE Official Oka site. Magazines

The Western magazines, usually, are not interested to the world of the cars and bikes in the Eastern countries. The only way to know more about this argument, is to read the websiets of the Russian magazines, like "5Koleso" or "Za Rulem". Unfortunately, these are magazines in Russian language, but you can use the PROMT translator (see in the opening of this page). With patience and intuition, you can find interesting things.
